About the ERC

Leslie Farrar
Senior Research Engineer

Education

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
University of Illinois at Chicago

Ms. Farrar has over twenty years of experience in the energy generation field. During her career, she has provided operational and regulatory oversight for several commercial electrical generation facilities at Commonwealth Edison (ComEd). She also provided mechanical engineering construction management oversight for the design and installation of HVAC systems at several of ComEd’s Nuclear Power Stations.

Ms. Farrar is currently managing the following projects for the Energy Resources Center:
• The Midwest CHP Application Center (The ERC has the lead in a partnership with the Gas Technology Institute.)
• City of Chicago Industrial Energy Plan (The Gas Technology Institute has the lead in a partnership with the ERC.)
