This task, entitled Energy Reduction Through Practical Preventive Maintenance incorporates a literature review and unstructured, open ended interviews of industry experts aimed at identifying the energy savings and financial benefits of a proper scheduled maintenance program as well as investigating why these clear financial benefits of proper maintenance is ignored. Ultimately, the goal of Task 10 is to develop processes and outreach programs to change market behavior regarding operations and maintenance. Included as an outreach program for this task is writing a Best Practices Manual of Operations and Maintenance as well as creating an associated training seminar.
