Henry C. Kurth
Henry C. Kurth has over 30 years experience in
the field of energy efficiency and renewable resource and sustainable
development. Since 2003 he has served as Associate Director of the
Energy Resources Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
At ERC Mr. Kurth manages several major programs including the USDOE
sponsored Midwest States Save Energy Now (SEN) Partnership Program.
He works closely with the Illinois State Energy Office on the Lager
Energy Users Grant Program, and oversees the UIC Industrial Assessment
Center. He also is active in new program development for the ERC
and is active in promoting and participating in Illinois and regional
energy efficiency partnership efforts.
Prior to the Energy Resources Center, Mr. Kurth
was Director of the Illinois State Energy Office for over 15 years
and was responsible for developing many of State of Illinois energy
efficiency and renewable energy programs. He is a founding member
of the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) and
Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA).
