Total Assessment Audit - Metal CastersThe State of Illinois has recognized the importance of the metal casting industry to our overall economic well-being and security. This project was instituted to assist this sector's long term viability by helping individual foundries address their operational costs, waste streams, production efficiencies, and business planning. In observing, analyzing, and providing solutions to the operation and management of metal casting firms, the project team hopes to define a pathway for those firms' growth and the sector's health. The Total Assessment Audit (TAA) process identifies process improvements, deficiencies, technological opportunities, and, where possible, provides cost-benefit analysis for recommendations to clients in the metal casting industry to make beneficial and forward-looking strategic decisions. Additionally, continuing follow-up availability and services to clients by the various participating team organizations help ensure the implementation of recommendations and access to other opportunities as they arise.
