Projects

The ERC's Residential projects include:

• Moisture Resistant Building Envelopes -- developing a water damage database of the geographic distribution of residential claims in California and recommending building assemblies for water intrusion experiments.

• High Performance Residential Buildings -- analyzing high performance wall construction and ventilation systems for energy efficient, airtight homes in collaboration with DOE’s Building America (BA) Program.

• Community Based Energy Study -- Investigating and evaluating community-oriented energy programs that can enhance electric service reliability and reduce energy service costs.

• Weatherization -- Providing practical, intensive training for high school teachers and their students in the techniques of large facility energy audits.
