BCHP Environmental Permitting Guidebook

This project, jointly funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Community Affairs (DCCA), will be initiated by the fall of 2001. The Guidebook will consist of three sections:

• Roadmapping the Permitting Process
• Identifying and Addressing Permitting Issues
• Streamlining and Process Simplification

The Guidebook will serve to facilitate the permitting process for end users and developers of CHP/BCHP projects. The Guidebook will serve as both a "how to" document for CHP/BCHP developers, and as analytic and permit implementation tool for state and regional policy makers in Illinois and throughout the Midwest region.
