The Energy Resources Center's

Industrial Assessment Center

Offering USDOE Sponsored Industrial Assessments to Small and Medium Sized Industries

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program. This Program sponsors twenty six assessment centers throughout the continental Unites States. The UIC Industrial Assessment Center provides industrial facilities with no cost energy assessments designed to help save energy and reduce utility costs by analyzing energy conservation opportunities, waste minimization, and process improvement. The UIC IAC is the largest IAC in the country and is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students led by engineer staff working for the UIC Energy Resources Center.

With a track record of high implementation rates the goal of the UIC IAC is to provide companies with usable energy saving recommendations that we hope can reduce operating costs. The UIC Industrial Assessment Center covers a large geographic range which includes: Southwest portion of Michigan, Northwest portion of Indiana, Northern half of Illinois, and all of Wisconsin.
