Trade Allies are general contractors who are trained on the DCEO EEPS programs to deliver more energy efficient solutions to their public sector clients. Since they are fully trained on the portfolio of energy efficiency programs, Trade Allies have a solid understanding of program rules and procedures.
Who can become a trade ally?
Any business that is related to energy and energy efficiency, such as general contractors, lighting contractors, HVAC contractors, engineers, architects, energy service companies, and energy-saving product wholesalers, distributors and retailers
Why become a trade ally?
Being able to offer energy efficiency incentives is becoming the key when bidding in contracts, since customers can see their installation costs reduced by up to 75% (although the average projects receives between 30-50% of installed cost in incentives)
