The Distributed Generation group promotes the viability and proliferation of combined heat and power technologies that generate at least a portion of a building or facility's electricity requirements on-site. The process includes utilization of heat rejected by electric generation equipment for process heating, space heating/cooling and indoor air quality. Through technical evaluation and monitored installations, the group works to characterize sites where combined heat and power is a viable and economically competitive choice.
